Laptop Buying Guide


Laptops are portable computers that are flexible and easy to carry anywhere as a substitute from the PC, because it weights only 5-6 pounds. The form is easy to fold and there are facilities that are not inferior to the PC, making many people happy with a Laptop. Because it can help to solve a lot of work, ranging from students to young executive. For those of you who are beginners in using computer, especially laptop. I suggest you follow these tips for buying a laptop that suits your need.


Laptop are classifield in three categories of  employment  :

 Bussines Laptops
It takes a stronger component to run the software in this category. For instance, software such as graphic design or Autocad must have high performance.
Entertainment Laptops
Not required for laptop powerfull component of this type, unless you want the ability BLU-RAY or FULL HD, you have to add extra cost. 
Gaming Laptops
This is the most powerful laptop, need more resources to run the game, you'll spend more money than entertainment laptop. 

Okay, let’s discuss more about the specifications of laptop :

1. Central Processing Unit (CPU)
First all is the processor or CPU (Central Processing Unit). This is the smallest thing is a brain to drive the engine computer. For laptop and PC manufacturing market is still dominated Intel and AMD. So just choose one of these two names.
 


2. Random Acces Memory (RAM)
RAM memory is short-term memory in a computer. Your computer stores information reapeadly in RAM memory, so it will look more and more that can slow down performance. There are two types of memory available on the market, DDR2 and DDR3.  DDR3 is the latest technology and better in every way compared to DDR2, in the calculations 3GB DDR3 equivalent to 4GB DDR2.
 


3. Hard Drive (HD)
Hard Drive is the third most important component that must be known. If DDR is short-term memory computer, the HDD is one of the long-term memory. On a computer hard drive stores all the information that has been run : the operating system, files and folders and all the data such as musics, movies, photos, sometimes it takes a rather large size. HDD size is common on the market is 250 GB, 320 GB, 500 GB, 750 GB, 1000 GB and so on.

4. Screen Resolutions And Dimensions
Screen resolutions and dimensions are an important aspect of a laptop. This is mostly related to the physical dimensions of the screen, usually measuring 15.4″, 17,3″ or 19″. It’s up for what you want to display a comfortable use. But you may also want to know display technology common to laptop : LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) or LED (Light Emitting Dioades). LED is the development of LCD technology is able to balance better colour saturation and the use of smaller electric current. LED has variant of OLED (organic) and the WLED (white), with makes the screen becomes bright and clear.


 


5. Battery
Another important component of the laptop is the battery. The standard size is measured in a cell : 6 cell, 9 cell, 12 cell and so on. The bigger, the better, and long hasting. Reduce the brightness level below 50% and not open  many programs at once is an example that can create long-lasting battery energy.

6. USB, Optical Drive, Web Camera, Card Reader dan Operating System
Other things that exist on the laptop is USB, Optical Drive, Web Camera, Card Reader, Operating System. BLU-RAY in less required laptops, DVD-RW is more than enough. While web camera or webcam to a minimum size would be better if the 2 to 5 MPX. The bigger, the better the quality of the resulting images or vedeos. For OS or Operating System usually depends on the preferences of each person. If you do not care about the OS, you can use the OS that you use every day or familiar to you.
